World Trade Center Hot Spots

Here the lead investigator of the 10,000 page NIST report (the official story) is denying knowledge of the [World Trade Center Hot Spots] .

The official story (from NIST) is that the fire temperature did not exceed 600C.

"Annealing studies on recovered steels established the set of time and temperature conditions necessary to alter the steel microstructure. Based on the pre-collapse photographic evidence, the microstructures of steels known to have been exposed to fire were characterized. These microstructures show no evidence of exposure to temperatures above 600C for any significant time. Similar results, ie., limited exposure if any above 250C were found for the two core columns recovered from the fire-affected floors of the towers, which had adequate paint for analysis." (source_pxli)

What NIST is saying is the core columns (from the fire zone) they tested (with a paint peal test) did not experience temperatures in excess of 250C.

The surface temperatures [World Trade Center Hot Spots listed] for the 16th are:

928K=1210F

827K=1028F

921K=1198F

791K=964F

710K=818F

700K=800F

984K=1311F

817K=1010F

The The Official Story is that these temperatures are impossible. That is why John Gross must deny the data exists.

Never in history has fire caused a steel building to collapse. They can [Building Fires burn like torches] for 18 hours.

What caused such high temperatures? Analysis of the dust provides strong clues:
